Guinchard aiming for the winner's circle at Snetterton

Daniel Guinchard has his sights locked on a first victory of the 2023 ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA campaign at Snetterton, Norfolk this weekend [20-21 May].

The 16-year-old from London, UK has scored a podium at each of the two rounds thus far in Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series in this, his sophomore year in the series.

Guinchard’s new alliance with Chris Dittmann Racing has proved fruitful to-date, putting the British rising star among the championship protagonists as he looks to translate his multiple title-winning form from karting into single seaters.

Up next for the motorsport stars of tomorrow is a visit to Snetterton’s 300 circuit. The 2.99-mile venue offers a ‘complete’ challenge for drivers, juxtaposing slower, technical sections with high-speed, flowing corners and two long straights – perfect for creating overtaking opportunities.

Two free practice sessions will give Guinchard a chance to acclimatise ahead of the weekend, before he looks to replicate his table-topping form from pre-season testing in qualifying, which takes place at 13:00 (BST) on Saturday.

As standard, the weekend features three 20-minute races, the second of which features a fully-reversed grid. The opening contest is at 17:00 on Saturday, with two ITV4-televised races to follow at 12:05 and 16:25 on Sunday.

Daniel Guinchard said:

“I’m really excited to get back out in the car at Snetterton this weekend, and to build off the back of a really positive weekend at Brands Hatch.

“Hopefully it’ll be another strong haul of points, and I’m definitely looking for that first win of the season after two podiums so far.

“It’s overdue, in my mind, and Snetterton should be as good a chance as any for us, both the team and I were really strong there in pre-season testing.

“It’s all about consistency, being up front and banking points in this championship – we’ve done a good job of that so far, so more of the same will keep us on the right track to be in contention further down the line.”
